Steel Calculation and Quality Concerns

After finishing my work at the bank and meeting with the municipal officers about building permission, I got a call from our contractor. He needed to know how much steel we need for the house we are building. I wasn’t ready with the numbers and needed time to figure it out.

Meanwhile, the owner was worried about the quality of the steel. He thought the contractor might order steel made from scrap. I realized it’s important to calculate the steel needed right after the layout is done and to let the owner choose the steel brand to make sure it’s good quality.

Lesson Learned: Always calculate the steel quantity right after the layout is finished and let the owner pick the steel brand to avoid any quality concerns.
